Evidence ledger
A divergence is not automatically a publisher error. LawVM keeps externally confirmed corrections, unresolved candidates, compiler defects, source pathologies, manual frontiers, and clean transitions type-distinct.
After a finding
Evidence first; notification and publication follow an agreed process
- Freeze the record. Preserve the declared sources, implementation snapshot, command, candidate state, comparison surface, and alternative explanations.
- Notify a named reviewer. Send the candidate through the channel agreed with the source keeper or institution; do not publish restricted material or treat silence as confirmation.
- Record a disposition. Confirmed, refuted, LawVM defect, source pathology, blocked, unresolved, or another declared status remains attached to the evidence.
- Disclose only what is permitted. Publish a case only after its evidence, disposition, notification boundary, and permissions support public review.

The public ledger contains one individually inspectable confirmed case, two public candidate packets from New Zealand and the United Kingdom, and one aggregate-only Finland count. Notification, acknowledgement, a changed public surface, and publisher confirmation remain separate facts.

Need to learn the outcome vocabulary before reviewing real evidence? The synthetic dossier lab is a teaching fixture, not a ledger case or certificate.

Source chain
Source amendment, before witness, candidate state, official comparison surface, locators, and hashes where publishable.
Reproduction

Disposition
Candidate, confirmed, refuted, LawVM defect, source pathology, blocked, or representative clean transition—with dates.
